OK, for everything you ever wanted to know about the Star Wars Resistance, I would highly recommend this comprehensive entry in the Wookieepedia.
The second flag is the flag of the Jedi Order, which again without giving too much away, is the central and foundational organization in the Star Wars Universe consistent throughout the entire franchise.
The flag itself is, well, iffy. The SYMBOL or LOGO in the center is consistent across multiple sources, but my flag having a blue background with the emblem being white is not canonical as there is no definitive flag for the Jedi Order ever seen in any of the movies, although the logo is shown. The actual colors of the flag, if one should ever exist, is left to imagination of the makers of said flags. There are multiple versions including those with red
or black backgrounds with a white logo
and even a red background with the logo in gold.
Clearly, this flag is not definitive, but that would make sense because, spoiler alert, the Jedi Order isn’t real. Or is it?
Anyway, there is MUCH to say about the Jedi Order but again I will leave it to the experts at Wookieepedia to explain all of it to you in this excellent entry.
Of course all of these flags belong to the realm of make-believe…or do they? Among some of the geek-glitterati, and yes, they do exist, just go to any Comic-Con, the Star Wars Resistance flag and logo is an in-the-know jab at the current President Donald Trump. And it sort of makes sense given that the New Order is a militaristic and isolationist monolithic organization that uses brute force and fear to keep those who would object quiet and “in their place.” Well, doesn’t that sound a lot like politics in the United States these days? So, the next time you see a Resistance flag flying, or the logo on a t-shirt, yes, it might just indicate a Star Wars geek, and it probably does regardless, but there might be multiple layers to that symbol, just so you know.

And, it will end the series of countries related to Book of Mormon on Broadway, so we will also have to work on what thematic trail to follow next. And to be honest, I have zero idea as of yet what that trail will be or where it will lead, so join in the adventure.
