Taken as a statement of historical pride and a reflection of actual historical events, I don’t find the association with the past flags to be objectionable on a personal level, although I have to respect that others feel differently.
Regardless of the symbolic link to the past it seems fair to say that Georgia has moved forward definitively into the future as a transportation and corporate powerhouse, economic might that has not, unfortunately, trickled down to the majority of Georgian citizens, but where there has been change and movement forward there must remain hope for a better tomorrow.
